Your stories can bring hope and healing to our collective community across the world. Please share with us your personal life story detailing how gender indifference changed your life, how you powered through obstacles, oppression, abuse to live into your true potential.

Please record, write and share your story. Be honest and allow your true self to shine. We want to know you and all of the passion in your life. This is your moment to tell “Your Story”.

Story Submission Guidelines

Here is a step-by-step guide on how you can share your video with us. Here’s how:

Turn on your video camera! Press the record button.

Record a video message.

Upload your video to your preferred source: YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Twitter, etc. and share the link with us.

  • Add a TITLE and DESCRIPTION to your video
  • Add “Her Story Matters” and then your name title
  • “Share your story at www.HerStoryMatters.com”
  • Create a full description to help search for your video
  • Tag “#HerStoryMatters” and “#OneVoice

There is no wrong way to submit your story because every story matters.

If you do not wish to share your story publicly, that’s okay. Her Story Matters respects your privacy. Please indicate your wishes and share your story in writing in the form field below. We will contact you to discuss options about your wishes and privacy.

    BY SELECTING “SUBMIT” YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

    I hereby grant exclusive permission to Her Story Matters, HSM LLC A For Profit Business) to use the videos, photographs and/or written material provided by me or of me for use on www.HerStoryMatters.com for publications, promotional materials, broadcasting as well as other printed and digital collaterals. I hereby waive any right to inspect or approve the video, photographs or electronic matter that may be used in conjunction with them now or in the future, whether that use is known to me or unknown, and I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising from or related to the use of the photographs. I agree that my participation with any material I provided in writing, photographs or by recording of the program may be edited with your sole discretion. I consent to use of my name, likeness, voice and biographical information about me in connection the Her Story Matters campaign or its affiliates and associates.

    I hereby agree to release and hold harmless the Her Story Matters organization or any of its staff, contractors, business, affiliates and associates (HSM et al) from and against any claims, damages or liability arising from or related to the use of the video, photographs, including but not limited to any re-use, distortion, alteration, or use in composite form, either intentionally or otherwise, that may occur or be produced in production of the finished product via electronic or media means.

    I am 18 years of age and I am competent to contract in my own name. If I am not 18 years of age or older, a parent or legal guardian has submitted my video on my behalf. If a child is pictured and is 18 years of age or under, I grant permission for Her Story Matters (HSM et al) to use the image and I understand that the child’s name will not appear or be used.

    I have read this release and I fully understand the contents, meaning, and impact of this release. I understand that I am free to address any specific questions regarding this release by submitting those questions in writing before submitting my video, and I agree that my failure to do so will be interpreted as a free and knowledgeable acceptance of the terms of this release.
